On the McDonough Square through Oct. 31, the annual scarecrow contest hosted by the Greater McDonough Business Association and the McDonough Main Street program brings dozens of straw-based life forms to the heart of the city. Winners, announced Oct. 21, include McDonough Family Eye Care for Best in Show with its superhero Hulk and Sandy Ridge BMX for its take on 'E.T.'
