On June 28, Sergeant Rodney Mitchell, who is a supervisor in the Juvenile Division at the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office, was awarded the Paulding County Board of Commissioner’s Public Safety Award. Sergeant Mitchell was awarded the Commissioner’s Public Safety Award for his exemplary service to the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office. Sergeant Mitchell has been employed with the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office for over 20 years.
“In addition to his exemplary service, Sergeant Mitchell has been an integral part of the Juvenile Division for the past eighteen years. He has helped streamline processes and procedures in D.A.R.E. instruction as well as supervising S.R.O.’s in our schools,” a news release said.
Sheriff Gulledge stated, “Rodney is such a great person and has a passion for the children of Paulding County. Our children are lucky to have a man like him in our schools, I am very proud that he works at our Sheriff’s Office. We are extremely proud of the job that he does for the Sheriff’s Office and the citizens of Paulding County.”
Sergeant Mitchell was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation from the Board of Commissioners along with a “Dinner for Two” Gift Card from Texas Roadhouse.
